The official pool of casters and analysts for the multi-week ELEAGUE Season 1 tournament, which will offer $1.2 million total, has now been announced. ELEAGUE, a joint venture between Turner Broadcasting and WME|IMG, will debut its first season with $1.2 million for CS:GO and 24 teams fighting over the course of several weeks for a chance at the largest chunk of the prize money. With the first three groups already announced and action for Group A kicking off this week, ELEAGUE have now announced the broadcast talent for the event, which will play out on Twitch exclusively from Tuesday to Thursday, and then on TBS and Twitch on Friday evenings.
The casters' list includes two well-known duos in the scene: the RoomOnFire pairing of Anders "Anders" Blume and Auguste "Semmler" Massonnat and FACEIT's James "BARDOLPH" Bardolph and Daniel "ddk" Kapadia. Meanwhile the analyst desk sees some of the usual faces return such as Richard Lewis, Duncan "Thorin" Shields, and Jason "moses" O'Toole, but also sees the addition of Dustin "Dust" Mouret (mostly known for his previous work as a caster on CEVO and ESEA broadcasts in North America) and interestingly Mohamad "mOE" Assad, the former Echo Fox player (and other teams going all the way back into the CGS days in CS:S) and a famous streamer.
ELEAGUE action will kick off this Tuesday with Group A, featuring Cloud9, Liquid, Renegades, and Luminosity, as teams will play round robin matches to determine placement in the group's bracket for the latter part of the week.
